Jellyfish, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the One-Line Gratitude mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a functional and personal gratitude journaling experience, we collect the following types of data:

• Account Credentials: When you sign up, we collect your login credentials using Firebase Authentication (email and password, or third-party authentication tokens from Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In) to establish a secure, personalized account profile.
• Gratitude Content: We store the content of your gratitude reflections (written text, optional attached photos, and optional audio voice memos) to display them in your digital garden.
• Shared Garden Group Data: If you participate in a shared garden, we collect and store the group name, list of member emails, and your shared reflection entries to synchronize progress among members.
• Biometric and Passcode Security: If you choose to enable the Passcode or Biometric Unlock (Face ID/Touch ID) features, these credentials are processed locally by your iOS device's secure enclave and keychain. We do not transmit or store your passcodes or biometric data on our servers.

2. How We Store and Protect Your Information

We take the security of your data very seriously:

• Cloud Hosting: We host your account profile, written reflections, and shared group data securely in Google Cloud Firebase (Cloud Firestore). Media files (photos and voice memos) are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage.
• Access Rules: We enforce strict, collection-level Firestore Security Rules. Your private reflections are readable and writeable only by you. Shared garden entries are only readable by verified group members.
• Local Device Cache: Streak statistics, offline cached entries, and theme settings are cached locally on your device using SwiftData/CoreData and UserDefaults.

3. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or distribute your private reflections or personal information to third parties. Your data is shared only in the following contexts:

• Shared Garden Members: When you explicitly join or create a shared garden group, the gratitude entries you post to that group will be visible to other members of that specific group.
• Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) as our backend service provider to authenticate users and host database systems. Firebase processes this data in compliance with industry-standard security practices.
• Legal Obligations: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Your Rights and Choices

We believe you should have complete ownership over your data:

• Data Deletion: You can purge all of your data at any time. Tapping the "Delete Account" button in Settings will permanently delete your authentication record, your user profile, all reflections you authored, any shared groups you created, and your local cache.
• Opt-In Security: Enabling passcode locks or biometric locks is entirely optional (opt-in) and can be turned on or off in Settings.
• Microphone and Camera Permissions: Camera access (for attaching photos) and microphone access (for voice memos) are optional. You can grant or revoke these permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it from our servers immediately.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
